CACAO CODES begins in Ecuador, a land where cacao first entered human ritual and memory.
Near Palanda, archaeological discoveries reveal one of the earliest known relationships between humans and cacao. These findings suggest that cacao was already prepared as a ritual drink more than 5,000 years ago, encountered not as a commodity, but as a sacred presence within ceremony and daily life.
In Ecuador, cacao lives as culture, ritual and living heritage carried through generations. Here, cacao continues to carry the quiet wisdom of the forest and the memory of ancestral traditions.

CACAO CODES did not begin as a product.
It began as a relationship.
A relationship with Cacao as a living spirit, a teacher encountered through ceremony, silence, and deep listening.
This path unfolded through journeys from Slovakia to Ecuador, cacao ceremonies, and a series of rituals and full-fasting cacao dietas. These are traditional shamanic practices of working with plant medicines through silence, fasting, and focused presence.
Through these practices, the presence known as Spirit of Cacao began to reveal itself in a new way. From this relationship emerged the ceremonial chocolates you encounter here.

CACAO CODES is a ritual cacao project exploring the living relationship between humans and Spirit of Cacao.
Born from ceremonial practice and a cacao dietas, the project brings together ancestral cacao traditions, plant medicine wisdom, and contemporary ritual culture.
Founded by Paulina Brinichova, a Slovak practitioner whose path with Cacao led her from Europe to Ecuador, CACAO CODES continues to unfold as a bridge between cultures, traditions, and ways of relating to cacao.
Through ceremonial chocolates, ritual practice, and storytelling, the project invites people to rediscover cacao not only as food, but as a plant medicine, a living presence, and companion on the path of awareness.
